The Rensselaer Center for Automation Technologies and Systems (CATS) is hosting its annual Technology Showcase and Conference from 9:00am to 8:00pm on April 27, 2011 at the Hilton Garden Inn - 235 Hoosick Street, Troy, NY.
The annual CATS Technology Showcase brings together leaders from industry, government and academia for a forum highlighting industrially relevant research at Rensselaer CATS in advanced manufacturing, automation and control across a wide gamut of industries, from clean tech energy and advanced composites manufacturing to aerospace and nanomanufacturing.
This year's event offers an expanded format that will include technical sessions focusing on Clean Tech Energy, Thermal Management, Advanced Composites and Production Scheduling and Optimization, a session on Business Startup and Expansion Funding, and a panel discussion entitled Effectively Leveraging University/Industry Collaborations. There will also be a session focused on past CATS collaboration success stories and a session highlighting research from young RPI faculty. As with every CATS Showcase, the poster session will feature a broad array of projects and areas of research, and offer an opportunity for networking and one-on-one interaction with researchers. There will also be an exhibit area for CATS partner companies and affiliates to showcase their products and capabilities. A highlight of this year's Showcase will be the dinner keynote address from U.S. Representative Paul D. Tonko.
Last year, over 180 paritcipants from industry, government and acedemia attended the event and more than 50 projects were showcased.
